THE OFFICIAL GRAND OPENING AND JAZZ WEEKEND of Tara Thai Restaurant—115 South Cortez Street will take place on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th for your dining pleasure.
Tara Thai Restaurant presents a fine dining experience in an elegant and relaxed setting in the most convenient of locations— across the street from the Prescott Courthouse Square. With their vast experience as restaurateurs, owners, Rex Cullum and Matt Boykan not only wanted a new location but they also wanted to create a luxurious atmosphere in which to enjoy their fine cuisine.
For those of you who formerly traveled to Prescott Valley to enjoy Rex’s great Thai food you probably have your favorite selections. Rex and Matt have modified their menu from their Prescott Valley location to include various new and exotic dishes to satisfy your palate. Tell Matt and Rex how spicy you prefer your dinner and they will accommodate you with delicious dishes from mild to wow!
When you first enter the restaurant you are greeted by a very large Buddha at the end of the traditional Koi Pond that stretches the full length of the dining room. The waterfall below the Buddha offers a soothing sound that immediately puts you in a relaxing mood for the evening. At the end of the beautiful wood bar is the wine wall that reaches to the ceiling, offering a large and varied wine selection. A complete bar menu is offered including some surprise drinks concocted by Matt.
Rex and Matt, both being huge jazz fans, wanted to provide Tara Thai customers with not only a fine dining experience but also to give them an opportunity to hear high quality live jazz this weekend as well as going forward on a regular basis —something that has been missing in Prescott for some time.

Members of the Prescott Jazz Summit All Stars that will be performing over the weekend are Mike Vax, Dave Russell, Larry Kantor, Jack Petersen, and Selwyn Reams.
